Get Hooded Out
Get hooded out in some of this season’s hottest hoodies. Hoodies are great for the fall season when the temperature begins to drop but it is still not cold enough for a winter coat. As a fashionista you can dress your hoodie up or down. For the casual look you can rock a hot pair of Uptowns, skinny jeans and a hoodie. If you like to dress things up you can combine your hoodie with skinny jeans and stilettos. Hoodies can range from $20 to over $200. Some of my favorite designs are by Christian Audigier and Heatherette. Pictures>>

Million Dollar Dream
Beauties, have you ever sat and thought to yourself, “Man, if I had a million dollars, I would definitely get . . .” Well I decided to scourer the streets of the infamous Second City, (Chi-town) and ask some of the lovely beauties that I encountered in the lively city “What’s the first thing that you would do if you’ve just received a million dollars?” Surprisingly, not every beauty said that she would go on a shopping spree, but read on to see the clever, caring and chic things that some of our Get Beautymarked! Beauties would do with their cash...read more>>

Do What the Pros Do...Part Two
So you've gotten your materials together and are ready to take the next step to Nirvana. It's time to decide how many categories you want in your book and what they are going to be. For example, I am a makeup artist that works with corporate clients, may shoot inside a studio, outside in the woods or attend an event involving my industry. Not only that, I have a personal life to dress for as well. My categories are: Fool Proof, Dressy, Casual Chic and Outdoor. Fool Proof is the VIP section of the book. You just can't let any outfit cross the velvet rope! Fool Proof outfits are outfits that everytime you wear them, you have at least one person compliment you on it. I definitely believe every look book needs to have this section. So brainstorm and decide what your sections are going to be, label your dividers, put them in your notebook and join me Friday as we begin to put our book together... Until then, You've Been Marked!

Do What the Pros Do...Pull Out Your Look Book!
Every wonder how the pros put together a fabulous photo shoot or runway show? How the uber fabulous always look put together at any event, even if it's last minute? Some may credit the stylist, but what happens when the stylist is not available or not invited to travel with the client? Enter the look book. This great reference tool is easy to recreate and will have you looking fabulous in a pinch. For the next two weeks (Mon, Wed and Fri) I will walk you through step by step on how to create your look book. Why do you need one? For those days when you need that extra 15 minutes of sleep, when you get called into work or an event at the last minute, when you are about to walk out the door and your baby spits up on you, when you're standing in front of your closet sighing and thinking "I have nothing to wear!"....the list goes on and on. To start this project you will need:

Make it Rain
Were experiencing one of the most severe droughts here in Atlanta. Not only do we need lot's of rain to fill up the reserves, but I'll be equally excited to wear these ultra fab rain boots when it does. One of the fall's must have fashion staples "Wellies" have been upgraded according to me. I found these ultra cute and sophisticated rain boots that are perfect for shorty’s like myself (I'm 5'1) and there on sale. I'm no stranger to heels or sales; so I was very excited when I came across these Sperry-Top Sider Rain Boots. These waterproof wedge boots, with micro-fleece lining for warmth and comfort and 360-degree lacing for a snug fit, are perfect for a rainy day. They come in black, brown, white and hunter green(shown). I'm looking forward to wear these boots with my skinny jeans, a cropped jacket an oversized fitted tee and a colorful scarf... and I cant forget a cute umbrella to top it off. How do you wear your rain boots? I would love to know.
Purchase These Boots Now or Shop For More Rain Boots from the boutique Until next time, beauty is what you make it, so embrace it. Chimere your Atlanta Beauty.

Clean Your Purse and Save Your Sanity: Get a Chameleon!
I am a purse freak...and a neat freak. So to bring my two worlds together, I use a Chameleon Insert. This lovely concoction has plenty of pockets for pens, phone, hand lotion and sunglasses. The middle is large enought to hold your wallet and makeup bag or you can use the change pocket, credit card size slots and hidden pocket for money or unmentionables. What makes the Chameleon great, is that when you change purses, just simply lift it out of your current purse with the top handles and place it in the purse you are changing to. Quick, easy and no mess! Check out http://www.chameleoninserts.com/ to purchase and when you receive it, be sure to leave me a comment on how much you love it! You've been marked!

Beauties in the Movies
Tyler Perry does it again; Why Did I Get Married? is the #1 film in the country. Not only was the storyline awesome, the styling, hair and makeup were on point. These beauties had it together as far as style was concerned. Remember even if your personal life is a mess, there is no need for your appearance to reveal this. When you know you look good, you’ll feel better; dress nice for yourself beauties, not anyone else. This was one of the many messages you will take with you from this excellent film.
Janet was beautiful as expected, but Tasha Smith, “The loud mouth diva”, stole the show. Her hairstyle, make up, wardrobe and her thunderous scenes, make watching the movie again well worth it. Janet Jackson sported some very plush fur coats, Sharon Leals makeup was impeccable, Jill Scott’s character pulled it together beautifully in her blue ensemble at the end, and Denise Boutte’s mountain garments were ultra fab.
Beauties, if you have not seen this movie yet, what are you waiting for? View the trailer here. Beauties, leave a comment and tell me what you think about the film.
